How we collect, use, and protect information when you visit dreamwalkertattoo.com or contact us online.
Effective date: September 16, 2026 Last updated: September 16, 2026 Applies to: dreamwalkertattoo.com
This Privacy Policy explains how Dreamwalker Tattoo & Body Piercing (“Dreamwalker,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), located at 18243 Forest Rd, Lynchburg, Virginia 24502, collects, uses, and shares information through our website, dreamwalkertattoo.com (the “Site”).
This policy covers information collected through the Site — our contact form, site analytics, and email sign-ups. It does not cover paper consent, medical history, or release forms you complete in person before a tattoo or piercing appointment; those are handled separately under our in-studio consent procedures.
By using the Site, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here. If you have questions, see Section 13, Contact Us.
2.1 Information you give us through our contact form
When you submit our contact form to ask a question or request an appointment, we collect the information you enter — typically your name, email address, phone number, and the details of your message or the piece/piercing you’re inquiring about. We use this only to reply to you and, if you book, to schedule and prepare for your appointment.
2.2 Information collected automatically through Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site — which pages are viewed, how long people stay, and how visitors arrive at the Site (for example, from a search engine or social media link). Google Analytics collects information such as your approximate location (city/region level), device and browser type, pages visited, and referring website, generally through cookies and similar technologies. This information is reported to us in aggregate and is not used by us to identify you individually.
Google acts as an independent data processor for this information and handles it under its own privacy policy. You can learn more, or opt out of Google Analytics tracking across all websites, at the links in Section 4.
2.3 Information you give us for email marketing (Kit)
If you sign up for our email list or newsletter, we collect the email address you provide and store it with our email marketing platform, Kit (formerly ConvertKit), to send you updates, promotions, availability, and other marketing communications you’ve asked to receive. We only add your email address to this list if you sign up yourself or otherwise give us clear permission to do so.
We use the information described above to:
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use the information you submit through our contact form for marketing unless you separately opt in to our email list.
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. Our Site uses cookies placed by Google Analytics to distinguish visitors and measure how the Site is used, as described in Section 2.2.
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, and most browsers let you block cookies entirely, though doing so may affect how parts of the Site work. To opt out of Google Analytics specifically, you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. You can review Google’s own data practices in the Google Privacy Policy.
We don’t sell or rent your personal information. We share it only in these situations:
| Who | What they receive | Why |
| Google (Google Analytics) | Site usage data (pages viewed, approximate location, device/browser type) | Site traffic and performance reporting |
| Kit | Email addresses of subscribers, and email engagement data | Sending and managing marketing emails |
| Legal & safety | Information as required | To comply with a subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Dreamwalker, our clients, or others |
Google and Kit are independent companies that process data under their own privacy policies and security practices; we choose service providers that we believe handle data responsibly, but we don’t control how they operate their platforms.
Every marketing email we send through Kit is sent only to people who’ve opted in, identifies Dreamwalker as the sender, and includes a working unsubscribe link. This is in line with the federal CAN-SPAM Act, which governs commercial email.
You can stop receiving marketing emails at any time by:
We process unsubscribe requests promptly. Note that opting out of marketing email doesn’t affect one-off replies we send you through the contact form (for example, confirming an appointment), since those aren’t marketing communications.
Virginia’s Consumer Data Protection Act (VCDPA) gives Virginia residents certain rights — like the right to access, correct, or delete personal data — but only applies to businesses that process personal data at a scale well beyond ours. As a small local studio, we likely fall outside VCDPA’s scope, but we extend the same courtesy to everyone who contacts us, regardless of where you live:
To make any of these requests, contact us using the details in Section 13. We’ll respond within a reasonable time and may ask you to verify your identity (for example, by confirming the email address on file) before making changes.
We keep contact form submissions and appointment-related communications for as long as reasonably needed to manage your appointment and for our business records afterward, or until you ask us to delete them. Email addresses collected for marketing stay in Kit until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove them. Google Analytics data is retained according to our Google Analytics account settings, consistent with Google’s standard retention practices.
We take reasonable steps to protect the information you share with us, including relying on the security practices of established service providers like Google and Kit. That said, no method of transmission or storage over the internet is 100% secure, and we can’t guarantee absolute security.
Our Site is not directed to children, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information through the Site from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we’ll delete it.
Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” signal. Because there’s no common industry standard for responding to it yet, our Site doesn’t currently change its behavior when it detects a Do Not Track signal. You can still control tracking through the cookie and opt-out options in Section 4.
We may update this policy from time to time — for example, if we start using a new tool on the Site. We’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page when we do. If changes are significant, we’ll make a reasonable effort to let visitors know, such as a notice on the Site.
